Garamduz-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان گرمادوز شرقي) is in Garamduz District of Khoda Afarin County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its ca[ital is the village of Mahmudabad.[3]

After the 2006 National Census, Khoda Afarin District was separated from Kaleybar County in the establishment of Khoda Afarin County, which was divided into three districts and seven rural districts, with Khomarlu as its capital and only city.[3]

There were 4,138 inhabitants in 1,021 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 4,236 in 1,212 households. The largest of its 15 villages was Mahmudabad, with 1,138 people.[2]
