Choo Hyo-joo (Korean: 추효주; born 29 July 2000) is a South Korean footballer who plays as a defender for Suwon and the South Korean national team.
Club career
Coming from Ulsan College, Choo joined Suwon in early 2021.
International career
Choo has played matches for the U20 and senior team.
She made her debut for the senior team in February 2020 in qualifying for the 2020 Olympic tournament, where she appeared in four games and even scored one goal.[1] After more friendlies in 2021 and qualifying for the 2022 Asian Cup, she went to the finals and also played a role in every game. She was then part of her team at the 2022 EAFF Championship.
On 5 June 2023, Choo was added to the squad for the 2023 World Cup.[2][3]
