The Central District of Taleqan County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان طالقان) is in Taleqan County, Alborz province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Taleqan.[3]
In October 2010, Taleqan District was separated from Savojbolagh County, Tehran province, in the establishment of Taleqan County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Taleqan as its capital and only city.[3]
At the 2016 National Census, the population of the district was 9,476 in 3,549 households,[2] by which time the county had been transferred to the newly established Alborz province.[4]
