"Better Than Ever" is a song by American rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Rod Wave. It's the seventh track from YoungBoy's 21st solo mixtape, Decided 2 (2023). It was produced by Cheese, Ambezza, Lex Luger, Mike Wavvs and Tommy Parker.

Composition

The song is a warm track that sees YoungBoy melodically singing about coming out on top despite the hindrances in his life while Rod sings about overcoming battles with women and past relationships in his life.[1]

Critical reception

Writing for Clash, Robin Murray stated that the track "is an anthem up there with anything YoungBoy has sculpted – bold, arena-filling rap music" and "pivots between drug-fuelled largesse and sober introspection, continually searching for connection".[2]
