Belinda Wilson is an Australian politician who is a member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly, representing the district of Narre Warren North.[1] She is a member of the Labor Party and won her seat at the 2022 state election following the retirement of Labor MP Luke Donnellan.[1]
Prior to entering Parliament, Wilson worked as an electorate officer for federal politician Josh Burns and in business. She is married, has three children and lives in the Bayside suburb of Black Rock.[2][3]
In February 2023, Wilson was appointed Deputy Government Whip in the Legislative Assembly.[4]
In March 2023, Wilson was appointed to the Integrity and Oversight Committee.[5] In July 2023, Wilson came under media scrutiny for asking the IBAC Commissioner Robert Redlich "Did you ever bully anyone as the IBAC Commissioner, any of your staff?".[6][7] Three days later, a motion was moved with the support of Committee Chair Greens MP Tim Read condemning Wilson and her Labor colleagues for their questions which were perceived as an "attempting to smear" the Commissioner.[8] Afterwards, Wilson "shouted" at Tim Read and had to apologise for it and the matter was referred to the Speaker Maree Edwards.
