Uncertain. Either:
- a derivative of vras, influenced by Old Church Slavonic вражьда (vražĭda, “enmity”) through Bulgarian,(Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
- borrowed from Old Church Slavonic вражьда (vražĭda) or Bulgarian вражда (vražda) and transformed into an adjective.[1]
