Uncertain. Either:

  1. a derivative of vras, influenced by Old Church Slavonic вражьда (vražĭda, enmity) through Bulgarian,(Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
  2. borrowed from Old Church Slavonic вражьда (vražĭda) or Bulgarian вражда (vražda) and transformed into an adjective.[1]
