Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *awa-luga, a prefixal derivative of Proto-Indo-European *lewg- (“to bend”). Cognate to Greek λυγίζω (lygízo), Old Norse lykna (“to bend knees”), Lithuanian lùgnas (“flexible”).[1]
