Etymology
Borrowed from Austrian German Würstel, diminutive of German Wurst (“sausage”). Suffixed with -i to resolve the word-final consonant cluster, compare cetli from Bavarian zettl or German Zettel (/ˈt͡sɛtl̩/) etc.
