Cognate with Burmese ဝင် (wang, to enter), Tibetan འོང ('ong, to come), Sichuan Yi (vur, to enter), Hani ol (to enter), Tangut 𘃽 (*ꞏo², to enter), Chepang वाङ्‌सा (to come), and Bokar (to enter). Compare Lhao Vo vao, Zaiwa wang, Longchuan Achang ɔŋ⁵⁵ and Hpon vʀó.
