trực tâm
Vietnamese
Etymology
Sino-Vietnamese word from 直心, composed of 直 (“straight; ortho-”) and 心 (“center”), perhaps a direct calque of a European word for "orthocenter". Unintuitively, this term has nothing to do with the point of intersection of the three đường trung trực (“segment-bisecting lines”) of the three sides of a triangle, the circumcenter, which does not have a common name in Vietnamese.
