Etymology
From Proto-Kuki-Chin *thu(u)r ~ tho(o)r (“acid; sour”), from Proto-Sino-Tibetan *suːr ~ *swaːr (“sour; be acid”) (STEDT). Cognate with Chinese 酸 (OC *sloːn).
