tarngứh

Pacoh

Etymology

tangứh (to breathe) + -N- (nominalizer). Diachronically, the surface form -r- is an allomorph of the instrumental infix inherited from Proto-Austroasiatic *-rn- with the lost of *n due to pre-nasal infixal position; however, synchronically, it has to be analysed as allomorph -r- of the infix -N-.

Pronunciation

  • IPA(key): [tərŋɯh]

Noun

tarngứh

  1. air; breath
