Cognate with Situ tarpâm (“ice”), Chinese 冰 (OC *pŋrɯŋ, “ice”).[1][2] Possibly cognate to Tangut 𗎈 (*ꞏwọ¹, “ice”) or 𘒓 (*par¹, “to congeal”).[3]
