sơn mạch
Vietnamese
Etymology
Sino-Vietnamese word from 山脈, composed of 山 and 脈.
This is one of the cases where a Sino-Vietnamese term sometimes pops up in modern texts, yet pretty much completely absent in older texts, becoming somewhat more common in modern literature due to the fact that it is Sino-Vietnamese and therefore sounds "fancy" and "literary".
