1. The act of rediscovering.
   • 1951 May, “Notes and News: The Penydarran Locomotive”, in Railway Magazine, page 350:

     The most important result of Mr. Mercer's work was the rediscovery of the tunnel, which had been buried, although still accessible through the partly blocked southern portal of the second and larger tunnel, built contiguously to the old one, about 1840.

2. A second or subsequent discovery of the same thing.
