provvedere
Italian

- IPA(key): /prov.veˈde.re/
- Rhymes: -ere
- Hyphenation: prov‧ve‧dé‧re

- Synonym: procurare
- (intransitive) to look after, to take care of [+ a (object)] [auxiliary avere]

Usage notes
- The conjugation of this verb differs from vedere in two ways: (1) The future and conditional are regularly formed, as provvederò etc. (contrast vedrò); (2) The form provveduto is the normal past participle, while provvisto is rare. As adjectives, provveduto means "shrewd, sensible" as well as "provided with the necessary preparation", while provvisto means "provided, supplied, furnished, endowed".
