  1. Any of the viruses formerly in the genus Nucleopolyhedrovirus, now in genera Alphabaculovirus, Gammabaculovirus, and Deltabaculovirus (family Baculoviridae), that forms polyhedral crystalline bodies within the nucleus of the host, usually one of the Lepidoptera.
