The United States standard of identity comes from 21 CFR 164.110.
Noun
- A mixture of shelled nuts of various types.
- (US standards of identity) A mixture of: shelled peanuts (optional); at least four types of shelled tree nuts (or at least three, if the container for sale contains less than two ounces and is transparent), each in a proportion of at least two percent; and, optionally, other functional ingredients. No one type of nuts may comprise more than eighty percent of the mixture.
