mbath
Albanian
Etymology
Uncertain. Possibly a derivation in mb- from a verb from a Proto-Indo-European root *h₃ew-ḱ-, an extension of *h₃ew- (“to put on clothes”).[1] Alternatively derived from Proto-Indo-European *bʰosós (“barefoot”),[2] though the -th would be unexpected.[1]
