mayéutico
Spanish
Etymology
Borrowed from Ancient Greek μαιευτικός (maieutikós), from μαία (maía, “midwife”). In Platonic dialogue, the philosopher, through the Socratic method, assists in the "delivery" of knowledge already latent in a person, a role analogous to midwifery.
