From Ottoman Turkish محشر (mahşer, “gathering place; crowd; assembly on judgment day”), from Arabic مَحْشَر (maḥšar, “place of assembly”), from حَشَرَ (ḥašara, “assemble”).

- (Islam) The place where humanity will assemble on the day of judgement, often identified with Mount Arafat in near Mecca.
