kushtrim
Albanian
Etymology
Apparently a contraction of kush â trim (who is brave?), the traditional call when some danger presented itself,[1][2][3] though quite possibly a folk etymology. Alternatively, gerund of an unattested *kushtroj; *kushtroj + -im, borrowed from Vulgar Latin *conscrīptāre, a secondary formation based on conscrībere (“to enroll, enlist”).[4]
