Etymology
From Proto-Albanian *kripa, from Proto-Indo-European *ḱripo- (“headhair”). Compare Avestan 𐬯𐬭𐬌𐬟𐬁 (srifā, “plume”), Sanskrit शिप्रा (śíprā, “mustache and beard”).[1]
