Non-Sino-Vietnamese reading of Chinese 空路 (“Path to Heaven”, SV: Không Lộ), the stone pillar that was supposedly left by the creator god thần trụ trời. There was also a Buddhist sage who assumed this as his ordained name, with both the Sino- and non-Sino-Vietnamese readings. The misconstruction is possibly due to khủng (“big, huge, dreadful”).

     That pillar is no longer. Mortals of later times still thought of Mount Thạch Môn (Stone Gate) as the remnant of that pillar. They called it the Heaven-Supporting Pillar (擎天柱), or Mount Không Lộ (the path to heaven), or Mount Khổng Lồ.]
