From hinchar + -zón (found in Old Spanish as finchazón), possibly corresponding to Latin īnflātiōnem, and therefore a doublet of inflación. Compare Portuguese inchação, Italian enfiagione, dialectal French enflaison, archaic Romanian umflăciune.
