grand rounds pl (plural only)

  1. (military) A tour of inspection by a general officer or commander, visiting all the guards in the officer's command.
  2. (medicine education, invariant) A series of lectures whose subject matter is a particular patient or similar case or a formal hospital meeting at which physicians discuss interesting medical cases.
