  1. (transitive) To sew up so finely that the seam is not visible; to renter.
    • 1842, Miss Lambert (F.), The Hand-book of Needlework, page 24:
      and when one of larger dimensions was required, several of these were sewn finedrawn together with such care that no seams were discernible.
