Etymology
Literally, “economically homeless”, an early-2020s coinage referring to otherwise stable, employed people who are homeless due to factors such as an overheated housing market and bad luck, and who do not fit in the stereotypical picture (unemployed, mentally and financially unstable) of homelessness.
