From Middle English crismatorie, from Medieval Latin chrismatōrium, from chrisma, crisma (“chrism”).

chrismatory (plural chrismatories)

1. Part of a church set aside for the rite of confirmation.
2. A globular ampulla or jar used to hold chrism.
