Noun
bliss ninny (plural bliss ninnies)
- (slang, derogatory) A person who is unrealistically optimistic, or a Pollyanna, and who might seem to prefer to retreat from difficult situations by professing seemingly irrelevant platitudes, rather than engaging meaningfully with the difficulty at hand.
- (slang, spirituality) A student who may seem to be intoxicated with spiritual teachings, but is ungrounded or untrained.
- 1987, New Realities, volumes 8-9, page 44:
- If you don't extend the circuitry, chances are you are going to be blown out, or even become a "bliss ninny." It's very easy to fall into bliss; we are only a fraction of a psychic centimeter away from it all the time.
