bandwagon fan

English

Noun

bandwagon fan (plural bandwagon fans)

  1. (sports, idiomatic, often derogatory) A fan that has shown no past loyalty to a team and suddenly decides to follow a crowd to become a fan. This differs from another common term “fair weather fan”, which means to be a fan only while a team is performing well.
