Etymology
Probably from aita (“father”) + ginarreba (“parent-in-law”). Alternatively, ginarreba might have been extracted from this term and amaginarreba (“mother-in-law”). In that case, it might be derived from aita (“father”) + egin (“to make”) + arreba (“sister”), literally “sister that makes a father”.
