Stadtbild

German

Etymology

From Stadt (town, city) + Bild (image), perhaps influenced by Weichbild (city area), in which the component -bild is, however, not immediately equivalent to German Bild.

Pronunciation

  • IPA(key): [ˈʃtatˌbɪlt]
  • (file)
  • Hyphenation: Stadt‧bild

Noun

  2. the streets and public areas of a town or city, especially the centre and other areas of interest
