Sally-Anne test (plural Sally-Anne tests)
- (psychology) A test measuring a person's social cognitive ability to attribute false beliefs to others. A story is enacted with two dolls: Sally takes a marble and hides it in her basket, and Anne then transfers it to her own basket while Sally is absent. The participant is asked where Sally will expect to find the marble on returning.
