Proto-Turkic

Etymology

Alternatively, it is reconstructed as *hur-, which could be a comparing to Proto-Tungusic *por- (to hit, beat). In the reconstruction, it is assumed the origin of the word Proto-Turkic *urug, as compared to the Proto-Mongolic *(h)üre- (to strew, scatter) and Proto-Mongolic *hüre (seed, child, descendant).[1] But it is denied that (h)ur- is origin of urug. (Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)

Verb

*ur-
