Etymology

An interesting stem. The only native Tungusic word who allows initial-w.

EDAL reconstructs an earlier *ebā-. Of onomatopeic origin is also possible.

    *Wāʒaŋāsi.
    You are going to kill [him/her]. (in a long time)
    *Wāʒansi.
    You are going to kill [him/her]. (in a short time)
