Proto-Finnic
Etymology
From Proto-Finno-Permic *kesä (“summer”) (possibly a loanword from Indo-European; see it for more). Cognate with Proto-Samic *keasē, Erzya кизэ (kize) and Moksha киза (kiza, “summer, year”).
