Proto-Finnic
Etymology
Unknown. Possibly borrowed from Proto-Baltic [Term?] (whence Lithuanian vingiorykštė, vangarykštė). Another theory (by EVE) posits a borrowing from a hypothetical Proto-Norse [script needed] (*angan-wahstuʀ).[1]
