From 𐎶𐎴𐎡𐎹𐎠𐎫𐎡𐎹 (m-n-i-y-a-t-i-y /maniyātaiy/, “to think, consider”) + -𐎡𐏁 (-i-š /-iš/), from Proto-Iranian *mányatay.
