From augurāre via dissimilation of /au̯/ to /a/ before a stressed syllable with /ŭ/, as also with agurium < augurium.

Reconstruction notes
Some of the Romance forms have been influenced by descendants of the corresponding noun agurium. So, for instance, Portuguese agoirar ↔ agoiro < agurium.
