Phù Đổng Thiên Vương

Vietnamese

Etymology

Sino-Vietnamese word from 扶董天王, composed of 扶董 and 天王, i.e. "Heavenly King/Prince of Phù Đổng". Phù Đổng 扶董 (MC bju tuwngX) is the rendition of a sesquisyllabic Vietnamese word ancestral to Dóng (in Thánh Dóng).

This whole phrase is probably a calque of Thánh Dóng.
