Carriacou and Petite Martinique are northeast of Grenada.

Etymology

Derived from French petit (small) and the toponym Martinique. The island was named for its resemblance to Martinique. Compare Petit Canouan, Petit Nevis, Petit Saint Vincent, Petite Dominique and Petite Mustique.
