Pass of Brander

1. A water-level pass between mountains at the narrow outlet of Loch Awe into the River Awe, in Argyll and Bute council area, Scotland.
   • 1947 May and June, “Notes and News: Derailment in the Pass of Brander, L.M.S.R.”, in Railway Magazine, page 181:

     For nearly four miles, between Loch Awe and Taynuilt, the Callander and Oban section of the L.M.S.R. runs through the Pass of Brander, on the lower slopes of Ben Cruachan, beside the swift-flowing River Awe.

This is not a mountain pass over a mountain range, but more in the nature of a glen, gorge or canyon.
