Etymology
From Polish Kołodziej, Upper Sorbian kołodźej, or Belarusian каладзей (kaladzjej). Alternatively, from Russian Колодзей (Kolodzej), itself from Polish or Belarusian. Ultimately from Proto-Slavic *kolodějь (“wheelwright”).
