     The next and last street on both maps may easily be identified as the famous Colon Street, one of the oldest in the Philippines.

     During my first visit at the end of the fifties, Colon Street, Cebu, the country's oldest street, and Singapore's Orchard Road did look alike as two drops of water. Today Colon Street still looks the same as in 1958 but Singapore's Orchard Road is totally unrecognizable, it became one of the world's leading shopping streets.
