Old Armenian

Etymology

The origin is unknown. Perhaps from the Proto-Indo-European possessive suffix *-sḱo- (or *-sko-), which may have been first incorporated in the genitive plural form, and thence spread to the other cases. Compare Proto-Indo-European *-iskos.
