Etymology

From Proto-Indo-European *-(e)ro-. Compare երկ-ար (erk-ar) from Proto-Indo-European *dweh₂rós (long). See also -իր (-ir), -որ (-or), -ուր (-ur).

    զարդ (zard, ornament, embellishment) + -ար (-ar)զարդարեմ (zardarem, to adorn)
    մեծ (mec, great) + -ար (-ar)մեծարեմ (mecarem, to honor, venerate)
    արդ (ard, shape, order) + -ար (-ar)արդար (ardar, just)
