  1. Combining form used to form prefixed perfective verbs, with the approximate meaning "to say".

Usage notes

  • Do not confuse this with the noun речь (rečʹ, speech). In pre-reform spelling, the noun was spelled рѣчь (rěčʹ) and the verbal combining form -речь (-rečʹ).
