Usage notes
- An an emoji, all operating systems display only the showerhead streaming water, though the pressure of the water and angle of the icon itself vary[1] (as it does for physical depictions of the symbol). The character itself was released in Unicode 6.0 in October 2010.[2]
- One common depiction for the showering symbol is an elongated, curved pillar holding up the showerhead which extends downwards to become either the floor or shower tray.[3] Other depictions may also include the silhouette of a person showering.[4][5]
- The symbol (named "shower" and designated PF 025) is part of the ISO 7001 set of pictograms and symbols for "public information" by the International Organization for Standardization.[3]
