Inherited from Proto-Turkic *beŋgü (eternal) possibly from Middle Chinese 萬古 (MC mjonH kuX, “aeons, eternal”). Cognate with Turkish bengi (eternal), Uzbek mangu (eternal), Bashkir мәңге (məñge, eternal), Yakut мэҥэ (meñe, eternal).
